The Challenge

Closet Factory, a custom closet installer in South Jersey, wanted to enhance its technology for tracking employee performance and establish Key Performance Indicators. A streamlined system would allow leadership to better communicate with employees and track performance metrics. It would also give employees the opportunity to clearly understand expectations.

The Solution

To address these challenges, a comprehensive solution was implemented involving leadership coaching through a Learning Management System (LMS) and the establishment of a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) program. This dual approach aimed to enhance communication, provide clear performance expectations, and offer measurable goals for improvement.

Our Approach

  • Leadership Training: Supervisors underwent training on the LMS to improve their communication skills and effectively deliver performance-related information. Training covered topics such as administering PIPs and conducting performance conversations with a supportive approach to address underperformance issues.
  • Performance Improvement Plan: A structured PIP program was introduced, allowing leadership to set clear, measurable goals for employees. The program detailed specific performance metrics, such as monthly sales and close rates, providing a transparent and objective framework for evaluation.
